2. These terms
These Terms & Conditions apply when you purchase goods from The Minch Candle Co. through this website.
Please read them before placing an order. They should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy and Delivery information.
Nothing in these terms affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer under UK law.
3. Our products
We take reasonable care to describe and display our products accurately.
Because many of our candles are made and finished by hand, minor variations in appearance, wax finish, positioning or colour may occur between individual products. These small variations do not necessarily indicate a fault.
Colours may also appear slightly different depending on the screen or device used to view the website.
Product descriptions, fragrance notes, sizes, burn times and other specifications shown on the individual product page form part of the information provided before purchase.
4. Prices
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP).
The price charged will be the price displayed when you place your order, together with any applicable delivery charges shown before payment.
We may change our prices at any time, but a later price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted.
5. Placing an order
To place an order, add the products you wish to purchase to your basket, review the basket, proceed to checkout, enter the required delivery and payment information and submit the order using the payment button shown at checkout.
You will have an opportunity to review and correct your order before completing payment.
Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the goods. We will send an electronic confirmation after your order has been placed.
If we cannot accept or fulfil an order, we will let you know and refund any payment already taken for goods we cannot supply.
6. Payment
Available payment methods are shown at checkout.
Payment must be successfully authorised before an order can be processed.
Payments may be processed on our behalf by third-party payment providers. We do not need to receive or retain your complete payment-card details simply to fulfil your order.
7. Availability and back-orders
All products are subject to availability.
If an item is shown as available on back-order, additional time may be required before dispatch while stock or materials are prepared.
Please see our Delivery page for current processing and back-order information.
8. Delivery
Orders are dispatched from the Highlands of Scotland.
Available delivery methods, charges and any relevant delivery estimates will be shown before you complete your order.
Unless we agree otherwise with you, goods will be delivered within the period required by applicable consumer law.
Further information is available on our Delivery page.
9. Your right to cancel
If you are purchasing as a consumer online, you normally have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason within 14 days after receiving the goods.
Once you tell us that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
To exercise your right to cancel, contact us with a clear statement that you wish to cancel the order. You may use our Contact page or the model cancellation wording below.

Using this wording is optional. Any clear statement that you wish to cancel is sufficient.

Where you exercise a legal right to cancel, refunds will be made within the applicable statutory timeframe.
11. Faulty or damaged goods
Goods supplied to consumers must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose.
If a product arrives damaged, is faulty or is not as described, please contact us and we will deal with the matter in accordance with your statutory rights.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Please follow the safety information supplied with the product and never leave a burning candle unattended.
Further guidance can be found in our Candle Care Guide.

We may correct errors or update website content where necessary.

14. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the text, branding, graphics, original artwork and other original content on this website belong to The Minch Candle Co. or are used with permission.
You may view and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not reproduce or commercially exploit our original content without permission except where permitted by law.
15. Third-party services and links
Our website may use or link to services operated by third parties, including payment, delivery and technical service providers.

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
